Article 2: Applicability
- These general terms and conditions apply to all offers, orders and agreements of Appa & Tails.
- By placing an order with Appa & Tails, the customer agrees to these general terms and conditions.
Article 3: The offer
- All offers by Appa & Tails are non-binding and may be changed at any time.
- Each product includes a clear and accurate description. Obvious mistakes or errors in the offer are not binding on Appa & Tails.
Article 4: The agreement
- The agreement is concluded at the moment the customer accepts the offer and meets the stated conditions.
- Appa & Tails reserves the right to refuse orders or request additional information.
Article 5: Prices
- All prices are in euros and include VAT, unless stated otherwise.
- Prices exclude shipping costs, unless stated otherwise.
Article 6: Payment
- Payment must be made using the payment methods offered during the ordering process.
- Appa & Tails is entitled to cancel an order if payment is not received in time.
Article 7: Delivery
- Appa & Tails aims to ship orders within 2 business days after receipt of payment.
- Delivery takes place at the address provided by the customer.
- Appa & Tails is not liable for delivery delays caused by third parties.
Article 8: Returns or exchanges
- As Appa & Tails products are custom-made and personalized, exchanges or returns are not possible.
- Exceptions apply if:
- The wrong product has been delivered;
- The product is damaged or defective upon receipt.
- In such cases, the customer must contact customer service within 14 days of receipt via support@appatails.com. We will replace the product free of charge or offer a refund.
- Returns without prior contact with customer service will not be accepted.
Article 9 – Liability for Woof ID size selection
The responsibility for ordering the correct Woof ID size lies entirely with the buyer.
Appa & Tails cannot be held liable for the selection of an incorrect size, as we provide a clear size chart and size calculator on our website to assist the buyer in making the correct choice.
For dogs with exceptional or non-standard sizes, we offer the option to have a Woof ID custom made.
Returns or exchanges based on an incorrectly selected size are not covered by warranty, unless otherwise required by law.
Article 10 – Use, wear and liability
10.1 Use & responsibility
Our Woof IDs are handmade accessories intended to be worn as identification accessories for dogs. They are not designed to be chewed, pulled, played with or used as toys.
Each Woof ID is carefully handcrafted and inspected for quality and durability prior to shipment.
10.2 Damage & wear
Damage resulting from, among other things:
- biting or chewing
- pulling, playing or gripping with the mouth
- contact with other dogs
- improper or unintended use
is not covered by warranty.
Such damage is considered normal wear and tear and not a manufacturing defect.
10.3 Manufacturing defects
A manufacturing defect generally occurs when a defect arises:
- at a knot
- at an attachment point
If the knots remain intact and the cord is damaged or frayed in multiple areas, this indicates external use (such as biting or pulling) and not a manufacturing defect.
10.4 Liability
The dog owner remains fully responsible at all times for:
- the proper and safe use of the Woof ID
- adequate supervision while worn
- removing the accessory when the dog attempts to play with or chew on it
We recommend allowing dogs to gradually get used to wearing accessories until they no longer pay attention to them.
10.5 Size & fit
The Woof ID is adjustable and must be worn in such a way that the dog cannot reach it with its mouth to pull or chew on it.
10.6 Damage assessment
Each damage report is assessed individually based on photos and information provided by the customer.
The assessment made by Appa & Tails is decisive.
10.7 Communication
We communicate exclusively in a respectful and professional manner. In the event of aggressive, intimidating or disrespectful communication, we reserve the right to terminate contact and refuse further communication.
10.8 Response time
We aim to respond within 1–2 business days. During holidays and busy periods, response times may be slightly longer.
Article 11: Complaints procedure
- Appa & Tails strives for satisfied customers. If there are complaints regarding products or services, the customer may contact us via support@appatails.com.
- Complaints will be handled within 14 days and resolved as quickly as possible.
Article 12: Liability
- Appa & Tails is not liable for any direct or indirect damage, including loss of data, loss of profit or other business interruption resulting from the use or inability to use the products.
- Liability is limited at all times to the amount of the relevant order.
Article 13: Privacy
- Appa & Tails respects the privacy of all users of its website and ensures the confidentiality of personal information provided by customers.
- Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Article 14: Force majeure
- Appa & Tails is not obliged to fulfill any obligation if prevented from doing so by force majeure.
Article 15: Applicable law and disputes
- All agreements and disputes are governed by Dutch law.
- Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the district where Appa & Tails is established, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
